Ya he terminado algo. ¡Por fín! Lo de los retos no es tan fácil como me había parecido. Tomándome un descanso de la lencería (no, aún no he terminado :o( ) Me puse a hacer el patrón del diseño que me pareció más fácil y resultón de todo este libro. ¿Lo conoceis? Su autor es Tomoko Nakamichi, y sus diseños son muy...diferentes. A mi me gustan, aunque considero que algunos hay que tener un par para llevarlos. Existen otros dos libros más del mismo autor. Este es para tejidos elásticos, los otros dos para no-elásticos.

I finished something, at last! I took a break from lingerie (how hard is that? Gosh!) and I wanted to try something from this book. I asume everybody knows this one, that the author is Tomoko Nakamichi and that his desings are, well, different! I like them so much but I admit that you have to be quite brave to wear some of them.
Yo les dije a mis Reyes que me los compraran en Play.com por que de momento con este y con el primero de la serie me valen para ir jugando, y me da igual que estén en inglés. Pero podeis encontrar los dos primeros en La Casa Del Libro o en Fnac Este para tejidos elásticos todavía no está traducido.

I asked the Three Kings (The ones that bring the presents at Christmas time in Spain) to order this and the first book from Play.com in the link above, and as usual, with this company, I had no problems. But I digress. The first time I saw something made from this book was at Carolyn´s bog

Segun la descripción que viene en el libro:
Un vestido con la cabeza emergiendo en diferentes sitios como el juego del Whac-a-Mole en el que la cabeza va asomando no importa cuantas veces le des.
Lo divertido de este vestido es ver como cambia la silueta dependiendo de como lo lleves puesto.
Back to the book. It says that this is dress with the head emerging in different places, like a Wack-a-mole game in which the head keeps popping out no matter how many times you bash it. The fun here is to see the silhouette change whenever you make the head or arms come out of a different hole.
Básicamente es el patrón de un top con cuello alto, modificado para que tenga otros dos cuellos a la altura de los hombros, añadiendo una falda rectagular con unas aberturas en la cadera que parecen bolsillos pero no lo son: son unas sisas para cuando te lo pones de otra manera. En total dos metros de punto roma
Esta sería la"versión larga" en la forma de llevarlo.
The pattern starts with your basic top pattern adding a midi- turtle neck and drawing two more where the shoulders should be, adding a rectangular skirt with openings at hip level. Those will become your armholes for when you want to wear it differently. I made it with two meters of ponte knit.
This would be the "long version".

Aqui llego. "Modo Corto" Hay dos formas, una con la cabeza por el mismo sitio donde la llevaba antes, y otra con la cabeza por la manga. Esta es la última. Me gusta más porque todo el drapeado va hacia un lado.
And this is the "short version". There are two ways of wearing it short. One with the head out of the same hole and the other, the one I´m wearing, with the head through one of the sleeves. I like it better like this because the draping goes to one side.
Aqui teneis una vista frontal de cerca y la trasera. Con vaqueros queda fenomenal

Los "bolsillos" los terminé con un bies, y luego cerré los laterales
I finished the hip-holes with bias and then closed the side seams
Con las mangas tuve algunos problemas: El punto roma no es tan elástico a lo alto, así que no me cabía la cabeza. Las recorté y les añadí unas tiras (tipo cinturilla de pantalón), pero no las uní en el centro, para que debajo de la sisa no se quedase demasiado "gordo" y al pasar la cabeza hiciera de cuello un poco vuelto.
Todo el bajo va rematado con aguja doble. Porque hay que predicar con el ejemplo.
I had some troubles with the sleeves: Ponte is not so stretchy lenght-wise, so my head was to big to go through. I chopped the lenght and added some bands but I didn´t make them meet and they are open under the arms so that it is less bulky and it looks good when my head is out of one of those.
I also finished the hems of the skirt with double needle.
Os puedo decir que de todo lo que he cosido esto el lo que más ha llamado la atención, con diferencia.
