Today is as good as any day to show you my top 5 misses. Without misses I wouldn´t learn as much, would I? I hate it so much when it happens but one has to be positive!
La idea no era mala del todo, pero como no trabajo en Holywood no me los he puesto ni una sola vez, además de para las fotos.
The idea was not too bad, but as I don´t work in Holywood these trousers hadn´t seen the light of day (or night) besides the day I put them on to take the photos.
El patrón era estupendo, la caida de la tela buenísima pero tan fina que se empezó a abrir en las costuras a la tercera puesta. Estos corrieron peor suerte que los anteriores y fueron al cubo de la basura. (Para cuando un contenedor de telas?)
Great pattern, good colour and print but the fabric was so thin that the weave started opening at the seams the third time I wore them. Those went straight to the bin.
Un error desde el principio. El patrón sencillamente horroroso. Pero por lo menos me dió para experimentar con las puntadas decorativas de la máquina de coser. En su nueva vida se dedica a abrillantar motos.
This was a mistake from the begining. Terrible pattern. But the good thing is that I got to experiment with the decorative stitches. In its new life, this top polishes motorbikes.
4.KAFTAN
El problema con este kaftan es que era, en principio, para mi madre. Lo hice con todo el mimo del mundo, bonitos acabados, etc, pero al final me lo tuve que poner yo, y soy más de camiseta y shorts, la verdad!
The miss here is that this one I made it for my mother...but it didn´t fit her. I tried to use it but I´m not really a kaftan kind of woman...
El patrón me gustó desde el principio, pero esos bolsillos en la cadera no son muy favorecedores. Además me los hice a finales de verano, con un par de kilos más que ahora. En estos momentos los uso para llevar a los niños al cole y el cinturón que cabe en esas trabillas es muy fino y todo queda raro,raro...y me raspo la mano con a cremallera a sacar las llaves del bolsillo.
I liked the pattern a lot but I have to admit that those big pockets on the hip are not flattering. I made them in the final days of the summer when I was a pair of kilos heavier than I am now. I use them to take the kids to school and I have to wear them with a belt that is too thin for this style... and I scratch my hand with the metal zipper everytime I try to fish the keys out of those pockets.
Podría enseñaros muchos más, incluida una falda que tuve que mandar a paseo hacer poco, otra vez por mala elección de tela (no llegué ni a ponerle la cremallera) u otras que aunque están bien regalo a otras personas porque no son mi estilo en absoluto.

I could show you a lot more, including a skirt I didn´t get to finish reciently due to a bad fabric choice, or other creations I give away because once they are finish I can see they are not my style at all. At least I can make some other people happy!
