Vogue 1066 Badgley Mischka jacket and pants

Before Spring begins and you won´t feel like watching any more winter clothes, I want to show you what I made last December, during another long week alone.

I chose this pattern because the pants have a very detailed finish. Bias binding everywhere and corded piping in waist, pockets and loops. And topstitching . The jacket is fully lined and , well, big. I don´t feel ready for a fitted blazer yet.

The problem with this jacket is that, being winter clothes, you cannot wear a coat on top. The sleeves are so wide it´s imposible. The only thing you can do is wear a cape. Or clench your teeth.
Even though it has so many details I had a great time sewing this. The instructions were excellent as was the sizing so it was only cutting and sewing. No seam ripper this time!

Cordoncillo. Piping
Shoulder pleat.

You are probably wondering why so shy this time I don´t show my face...
¡Pues por esto! Mi fotografo siempre con prisas. Que pelos!
This is why! My fotographer always in a hurry. Bad hair day!
el forro. Lining
Burda 04/2011 105.
I liked the lining fabric so much I bought some more and made a shirt. Burda 04/2011 105.

The buttons are hidden and the cuffs are weird.

Mi primer cuello de pico.
My first "pointy" neck.
If somebody is going to use this pattern, be aware that the shirt is a bit too short, and the chest could be a bit tight.
Now I´m off to my sewing duties. My son´s shirt is been cut for over a week and it is still lying there unmarked.
Hasta pronto. See you!

    1. Gracias!
