Espero que este sea el último de mis post con pared lavanda-moño alto. La lluvia sigue cayendo ahí afuera a cubos y mi pelo-pelusilla se resiente. De ahí el moño. Si me lo dejo suelto parezco La Medusa

I hope this is the last one of my "lavender wall-high bun" series. It´s still pouring outside and my mousy hair resents the humidity, hence the bun, if I let it loose I´d look like Medusa

¿Que os parece este modelito de Cate Blanchett? A mi es que me encanta esta mujer, que estilazo tiene, por favor.Yo de mayor quiero ser como ella...Espera, que nacimos en el mismo año!
 El vestido es de Louis Vuiton y me llamó la atención por lo facil que me parecia de reproducir, aunque yo preferí hacer una versión corta y con manga larga, que siempre hay tiempo para recortarla en verano.

What do you think about this Louis Vuitton number? Worn so well by the magnificent Cate Blanchett. She is for me the epitome of class. And she is daring too. Anything looks good on her. When I´m older I want to be just like her....oh, wait, we are the same age :)

Total que me fuí al Primark, me compré una camiseta por cinco euritos y luego me compré estas lentejuelas que estaban a 40 euros el metro. ¡cuarenta! 30 cm. me llevé, después de que me dieran "las sales" del soponcio. Y luego a la mercería a por tira bordada. Otro soponcio y más sales. Igual la sobredosis me ayudó a concebir un top "disco-flamenco"

Y como ya tenia un retalito de algodón blanco pues me puse a trabajar.

So I went to Primark and bought a grey shirt (long sleeve, I can always cut them for the summer) 5 euros, and the touch is very soft. I love their t-shirts. Then I went to the fabric store and bought the sequins, they were 40 euros per meter. Forty! After being given the salts, I took just 30 cm and then went to the notions store to get some meters of embroidery batiste. More salts. You see, here in Spain we use that, among other things for the Flamenco dresses. Maybe the overuse of salts helped to conceive this "flamenco-disco" top?

I already had some scraps of white shirting cotton so I set to work

Al panel de lentejuelas le hice un dobladillo alrededor y luego lo fijé a la camiseta con puntadas a mano.

Abrí los laterales de la camiseta y le añadí unos godets. Luego añadí un mini faldoncillo para poder coser dos filas de tira bordada.

Y este es el resultado.

I opened the sides of the t-shirt right at bra-level. Then I cut a pannel of sequins and hemmed around it, by hand. Helped by a kitchen tray I hand stitched the pannel onto the t-shirt, stitching also across it for more support.

I added godets to the sides and after that a little skirt to sew two rows of  embroidered batiste.

And this is the result

Ha quedado más estrecha de lo que yo quería, hubiera necesitado unos godets mas anchos, y tal vez es demasiado "de jovenzuela" para mi. Pero para una noche de pinchos está bien. (Te digo que al final termino como la Obregón)

A little too much on the tight side I think. I should have made those godets a tad wider. Perhaps it is to girly for me but I think it would be fun for a girls night out, if I ever get  one of those.
